Nominations for the Suncoast Chapter board have now closed.Thank you to everyone who applied, nominated a fellow member, or helped share the opportunity. We are grateful for the members who stepped forward and showed interest in helping shape the future of the chapter.The next phase is now underway as nominees are reviewed and the election process moves forward.Our goal is to build a stronger, more active chapter through better events, education, community partnerships, conservation efforts, and meaningful member involvement.More updates will be shared as the process continues.

The Suncoast Chapter has an opportunity to reset, rebuild, and grow into something stronger.Nominations have now closed, and the next phase of the process is focused on moving toward a working board that is reliable, collaborative, and ready to contribute.

Board Election Timeline

The candidates for the Suncoast Chapter Board have been announced, including Slade, our newest candidate.Voting is now open and will remain open through September 4. Suncoast Chapter members are encouraged to learn more about each candidate below and cast their online vote.Each candidate brings different experience, ideas, and strengths, but they all share an interest in helping our chapter grow and better serve our members and community.Voting period: August 23–September 4Please check your email for the Suncoast Chapter’s 2026 Candidate Slate special-edition newsletter. The newsletter includes candidate information and the link to cast your ballot. Only one ballot may be submitted using the email address associated with your membership.Please note: Members are voting to elect candidates to the Chapter Board. After the election, the newly formed board will determine officer positions—including President and Vice President—internally, based on each board member’s interests and strengths.
